Who Builds It

Fortis Substrata was founded by Alister Johnston and Scott Mackenzie and operates from Kilsyth, Victoria. We take on a single client at a time, design the shell in house, certify it, and stay on the site until the drills are done and the doors seal the way they were specified to.

700mm Reinforced Shell
Poured monolithic concrete with proprietary steel lattice reinforcement, exceeding seismic and pressure requirements for high-velocity impacts, shockwaves, and ground shift.
Sovereign AI Core
An air-gapped local intelligence stack containing 40,000 volumes of survival literature, offline medical diagnostics, agricultural cycles, and automated atmospheric regulation. Runs without any external network.
Insulated Life Support
Twin-redundant HEPA-14 ventilation with thermal insulation rated for prolonged sub-surface residency. NBC-grade filtration on positive-pressure loops keeps the interior warm, breathable, and sealed.
